Schneider Electric ranked Europe’s most sustainable company for 2025 by Corporate Knights, confirming its global ESG leadership and innovation.
Schneider Electric has been named the most sustainable company in Europe by Corporate Knights, a leading Canadian media and research firm specializing in corporate sustainability rankings. The company topped the 2025 Europe 50 ranking, which assessed over 600 publicly traded European firms across a wide spectrum of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance metrics.
This accolade follows Schneider Electric’s earlier recognition in January 2025 as the world’s most sustainable company, also awarded by Corporate Knights in the prestigious Global 100 list. The back-to-back recognitions reinforce the company’s unwavering commitment to sustainability and innovation across all regions and sectors.
Esther Finidori, newly appointed Chief Sustainability Officer at Schneider Electric, commented on the announcement, stating:
“At Schneider Electric, sustainability is not just another goal, it is embedded in everything we do. Being named the most sustainable company in Europe is a powerful validation of our ongoing efforts to drive positive impact through innovation, transparency, and collaboration. We are proud to lead by example and remain committed to building a more inclusive and sustainable world”.
The Europe 50 ranking employs the same rigorous methodology as the Global 100, evaluating companies based on ESG performance indicators such as carbon productivity, clean revenue generation, board diversity, and sustainability-related investments. The ranking covers companies listed on the STOXX Europe 600 and the top 100 publicly traded firms by market capitalization headquartered in Europe.
Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, continues to empower its customers and partners to reduce environmental footprints, enhance energy efficiency, and meet ambitious sustainability goals through its advanced technologies and solutions.
With Esther Finidori at the helm of its sustainability strategy, Schneider Electric is poised to continue setting the standard for corporate environmental responsibility, not just in Europe but globally.
